Privacy Policy

How KeriGo collects, uses and protects personal information in our app and website, under the Data Privacy Act of 2012.

Last updated: October 2026

This policy is written for KeriGo under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173). It covers our website, the KeriGo mobile app (for customers, riders and merchant partners), our booking forms, and our phone and messaging channels.

1. Who we are

KeriGo ("KeriGo", "we", "us") provides local delivery, pabili, parcel, pharmacy pickup and errand services, starting in Santa Cruz, Laguna and nearby towns. KeriGo is the personal information controller for the information described here.

2. Information we collect

  • Customers: name, mobile number, email (optional), pickup and drop-off addresses and map pins, recipient name and number, order or item details, special instructions, payment method, and ratings or feedback you give.
  • App accounts: if you log in with your mobile number, we send a one-time SMS code to verify it. If you log in with Google, we receive your name, email address, profile photo and Google account ID from Google. We never see your Google password.
  • Riders: name, age, mobile number, email, address, profile photo, license and motorcycle information, OR/CR status, availability, the documents you present for verification, delivery history, earnings and payout records.
  • Rider location: while a rider is set to online in the app, the app shares the rider's device location with KeriGo, including when the app is in the background, so dispatch can assign nearby jobs and customers can follow their delivery. Location is not collected while the rider is offline.
  • Photos: delivery proof photos taken by riders, and logos and menu photos uploaded by merchant partners.
  • Merchant partners: business name and type, contact person, mobile number, email, address, map location, store hours, menu and prices, business links, and statements of deliveries booked.
  • Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, app version, and pages or screens visited, collected through security logs, Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel on our website.

3. Why we use it

  • To review, confirm, dispatch and complete your delivery request, and to contact you about it.
  • To give the assigned rider the details needed to pick up and deliver: addresses, contact numbers and item details.
  • To match bookings with nearby riders, estimate distances and fees, and show delivery progress.
  • To verify your login and keep your account secure.
  • To process rider and merchant applications, run verification and onboarding, and compute rider payouts and merchant statements.
  • To handle concerns, cancellations, and lost or damaged item reports.
  • To improve our service, app and website, and, only if you ask us to, to send you service updates.
  • To comply with legal obligations and to protect the safety of riders, customers and the public.

4. Who we share it with

We share personal information only as needed to provide the service:

  • with the KeriGo rider assigned to your booking, and with the merchant involved in your order;
  • with service providers that work for us: web and database hosting, SMS and messaging providers that deliver codes and booking updates, Google (sign-in and analytics), Meta (website ad measurement), and map and routing services that calculate road distances.

They may use it only for that purpose. We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information when the law requires it.

5. How long we keep it

Booking records are kept for up to three (3) years for customer support, dispute handling and accounting. Rider location history is kept only as long as needed for active deliveries and related concerns. Unsuccessful rider and merchant applications are deleted after one (1) year. Waitlist contacts are kept until you ask us to remove them or the app has launched.

6. Deleting your account

Customers can delete their account from the app (Profile → Delete account). Anyone, including riders and merchant partners, can also request deletion on our Delete Account page. When an account is deleted we remove the profile, login and saved details. Booking, payout and statement records are kept for the period in section 5 because we need them for accounting and disputes, then deleted.

7. How we protect it

Information is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Our admin system needs a password to open, and access is limited to authorized staff. The booking tracker shows status only to someone who has both the booking reference and the last four digits of the booking mobile number. Riders receive only the details needed for the delivery.

8. Your rights

Under the Data Privacy Act you have the right to be informed, to access, to object, to correct, to erase or block, to data portability, and to claim damages, and you may file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.

9. Children

KeriGo is not meant for children under 18. Riders and merchant partners must be of legal age. We do not knowingly collect information from children; if you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Cookies

The website uses a session cookie needed for forms to work securely, plus Google Analytics and Meta Pixel cookies to understand overall traffic and measure our ads. You can block cookies in your browser settings. Forms may not work without the session cookie.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as KeriGo grows. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
